Growth means getting better and scaling up your knowledge on something you already do in order to achieve your goals. There are so many places in our lives where we can grow and become better people. Usually, we all are aware of where we are going wrong, but we don't know where to start or what to do in order to grow. You have to do different things depending on which field you want to grow in, but here are a few techniques I found in common.
Stop comparing yourself - When you start taking the right steps for your growth, you'll see many people who have done or are doing better than you, this might cause you to have low self-esteem, and having low self-esteem will stop you from growing. It is not easy to stop comparing yourself, since it's human nature. Whenever you see someone achieving more than you, you have to focus on your improvement, if someone is doing something better than you, and you feel bad about that you can't really do anything besides staying focused on your goal. Your self-esteem cant be dependent on other people and what they're doing.
Self Care- Being kind to ourselves, and taking care of your body, mind and soul is something we often forget to do. Prioritising your needs and emotions is something that makes you feel better and helps you grow. You are responsible for yourself and that means you'll need to take care of yourself in every way possible, and for that, you'll need to prioritise yourself, which does not make you selfish.
Journaling - Journaling is one of the many things you can do for self-care. It helps you in so many ways. For the longest time, I used to think that while writing in a journal I had to write about what I did during the day and what happened during the day, but journaling is about sorting all your thoughts, creating awareness about what you're doing and your actions. While writing a journal you have to basically describe what's going on in your life, what your goals are and which thoughts you get. When you'll back at all entries you wrote, you'll see how much you've grown, from when you first started writing.
