You get tons of assignments, projects, and tests in middle school and high school.

It can get very hard, to deal with the stress, and even harder when you have online classes.

sleep and selfcare~

  1. It is necessary for teenagers and tweens to get 8-10 hours of sleep every day. So having a regular and healthy sleep cycle helps you stay energized under all the stress.

  2. Keeping a journal with you also helps, it lets you vent out your thoughts and emotions about what's happening in your life. You can also try making video diaries.

Studying and finishing assignments~

Studying for 1-4 hours is more than enough. It depends on what you are doing and how much you need to work on it.

  1. Maintaining deadlines- Maintaining deadlines is probably one of the hardest parts of school, and they always add up to the pressure. You can always try finishing the task the day it was assigned it helps reduce the pressure and maintain the deadline, but if by any chance you have been assigned many tasks on the same day, try completing the hard ones early, and do the easy ones whenever it's possible before the deadline.

  2. Note-taking- I find the technique of making notes for the topic which will be covered the next day is a really good technique, It helps you be prepared for the lecture and helps you memorize the topic faster. Making running notes can get hard, so adding changes to them after lectures is a good idea.

Exams~ Exam season can be so stressful. Preparing early is effective for many people, but during exam prep, the whole point is to understand the concept rather than memorizing 5 pages of notes. So comparing your preparation and when you started it with your friends is not the best idea. Whatever method you try, or however late you start your preparation it should focus on understanding the topic, because cramming adds up to stress, creates more pressure and overall is very stressful.

Your interests~ I think with the number of expectations and pressure you get related to school, it can be hard to think of anything besides that but, making time for yourself and your hobbies is a need. Consider doing the things you like daily, despite the pressure.

As students, we don't understand the fact that school is just a part of our life, we have to focus on school, but we have to focus on our family, friends, hobbies, and health.
