The pandemic is something we all hate. Online school/office, lockdown, coronavirus, weight gain, mental health, rapid deaths and cases. There are so many negative factors to it. Since the vaccine is here and we are probably going to be in a better situation next year, this article is about what we learned, from everything we hated during the pandemic.

Online School ~

I personally did not find online classes that bad. I started middle school online, and I only knew 2 people in the class, all the other people were complete strangers to me, so I had to work hard on making friends. I got to know the importance of interacting and communicating. We got to know the importance of socializing, group projects and interaction.

Lockdown-

Being locked down in one place is not healthy for our mental and physical health.

The lockdown has impacted everyone's mental health tremendously, I think everyone really learned how deeply your thinking patterns and your mental health can impact your life.

Weight Gain-

Hitting puberty at the same time as the lockdown can be really hard, I did gain weight during the lockdown, I bet everyone did, and it can be really depressing, for tweens and teens, it took me a lot of time to accept the fact that the weight gain is because of the lockdown and is normal. I just don't want anyone making assumptions about their body when they need to stay at home most of the time. I think because of the lockdown we made weight gain a normal thing and did not treat it as a taboo.

Mental Health-

I overthink a lot, so the lockdown made the situation a whole lot worse. Being locked up in one place gives us a lot of time to think. Let's admit it most people have been on the internet due to the lockdown and it can be one the reasons why so many people have developed low self-esteem, overthinking patterns and habits of comparison. If any one of these problems is severe for you, please do seek help. We have understood ourselves better during the lockdown and we understood the importance of mental health.

Rapid deaths and cases -

The worst thing about the lockdown was the rapid deaths and cases, so many people have lost someone who meant to them, during the pandemic. Dealing with grief while the pandemic is there, must be so hard. The biggest lesson we have learned is how much family and friends or anyone who means something to you, matter and to not take the time you have with them for granted. Even though the pandemic has been awful, we all can come out stronger and happier from it, just believe in yourself and have faith even though its extremely hard under these circumstances.

Never let the sadness of your past and fear of your future, ruin the happiness of your present.
